HomeTech Renovations celebrates 40 years of making homeowners’ dreams come true.
For David Cerami, Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler and owner of Let’s Face It and HomeTech Renovations Inc., being in the same industry for nearly half a century is a major point of pride. It’s no wonder, since he has grown Let’s Face It from “two trash cans and a board in a storage warehouse” into one of the area’s most thriving home improvement empires.
Cabinet refacing, he said, was the solution for customers looking for an updated look for their kitchen but who didn’t wish to “blow up the entire kitchen, floor to ceiling, to rework a project.”
“Back in the early to mid-80s, cabinet refacing was not a huge thing,” he said. “I was looking for an alternative to traditional kitchen renovation. I started one of the first companies in the area that would keep existing structures in place but provide a service short of ripping everything apart. It proved very successful.”
HomeTech Renovations came into the picture five years later. It was born to suit the needs of those clients who had larger-scale projects in mind.
“HomeTech is an in-house design-build company,” Cerami shares. “We meet with clients to determine what their needs are, then determine the best path forward based on their existing infrastructure, budget, and how to address the number of obstacles that need be changed.”
Forty years of experience is also apparent in the company’s clear and direct communications.
“We have the ability to know what products to choose and for wat reason, what products may not be advisable, which may end up failing or having maintenance issues,” he says. “All these things combined gives us a foot up on a lot of builders.”
Beyond this, Cerami is proud to say that all of the company’s expert builders are true team members.
“We have a lot of experienced craftsmen in this company, and they’re employees,” Cerami shares. “Our staff has bonded over years and years. We just had somebody retire after 32 years. Our office manager has been with us for 27.
“I’m blessed to have people stay with me because ethically and morally, we are grounded in the same soil,” he continues. “It means a lot to be because doing things this way, the way we would want things in our own home, allows customers to enjoy that same level of quality.”
While some might expect such expertise to come at an unreasonable cost, Cerami insists his teams offers affordable solutions to just about any home renovation need.
“I think something that we, as consumers, always want is a good price,” Cerami says. “We never want to pay more than we think we should. Our goal is to exceed homeowners’ expectations across the board with design, service, and our ability to execute and deal with the many things that manifest during the course of any installation.
“When we come across unusual obstacles, experience tells me what to look for and what to anticipate and how to deal with these things in advance,” he continues. “Whether it’s a large project or a small project, it comes back to experience, and that’s what those 40 years do.”
