Our client is always on the go and wanted a space that she could home to and forget about the everyday stresses. This project encompassed remodeling a master suite; the bedroom, closet and of course the bathroom. The closet was custom designed to meet the specific needs of our client. Each element in the bathroom was specifically designed and custom built for our clients as well. Traditional polished chrome fixtures were selected to accent the custom dark cherry cabinetry. Neutral warm colored tile designs in intricate patterns add to the refined elegance and beauty of the space.
The project took on quite a drastic transformation. Here are some before and after photos …

It’s the law. On April 22, 2010 a federal law passed requiring contractors working in homes built before 1978; disturbing six square feet or more of painted surfaces in a room for interior projects or more than twenty square feet of painted surfaces for exterior projects and/or window replacement; to either test for lead paint or assume there is lead paint, and follow the lead safe work practices. The renovation company must be lead certified with the EPA, at least one employee or subcontractor certified as a Lead Renovator and follows the EPA record keeping procedures. There are a lot of details the contractor must follow and they need to give the consumer written information and must document by following the EPA record keeping procedures. One item the homeowner/consumer must be given is the EPA brochure The Lead-Safe Certified Guide to Renovate Right everyone owning and living (includes tenants) in a pre-1978 home must be given this brochure before the start of the remodeling. This law also applies to child care facilities and school built before 1978. The brochure explains facts about lead, how to prepare for the remodel and basic overview of jobsite work practices, for more information to go U.S. Environmental Protection Agancy Website.
In today’s world we need to be educated consumers and we need to work with educated professional. You are responsible for the safety and well being of your family and that starts by hiring an EPA lead certified remodeling contractor.

At Colkett Painting, this is what we do and we love it! It has been our pleasure to offer faux finishes, wall murals, gilding and more to commercial and residential property in the Bucks County, Montgomery County and Delaware County, Pennsylvania areas. With training but the best in the field, their passion has been passed on to us. Creating wall murals that reproduce the feathered grain of a walnut tree, the breche pattern of Arabasco marble, the perspective of a door opening into a sunny garden scee, the clouds, or to gild a surface in 23k gold and burnish it to a brilliant sheen, these have been my rewards. If you have a minute to look at the photos of wall murals, faux finish and marbling work completed by my very talented collection of artists and artisans and myself, professionals all, I hope you can see that passion.
